Naturerlebnispfad Dümmer mit Naturerlebnisgarten und Aussichtsturm
Along the way, 13 information boards give you an insight into the formation of the landscape around Lake Dümmer, the flora and fauna and the very varied relationship between man and the lake. You can get a complete overview from a four-storey observation tower.
The starting point for this four-and-a-half-kilometre circular trail is the Dümmer nature conservation station.
You will be guided through the Ochsenmoor nature reserve to the southern shore of Lake Dümmer. In between, you have the opportunity to observe the wonderful natural landscape with its birdlife from a viewing tower.
The nature experience garden adjacent to the nature conservation station was set up by the Dümmer Nature Conservation Association. It offers many suggestions for nature-oriented garden design. The centerpiece of the enchanting nature garden is a "willow spider". This natural structure made of living willows invites you to linger. All around you will find dry stone walls, areas with wild flowers and a herb bed, a swamp bed, a fruit tree meadow and much more.
Go on a journey of discovery. The garden is open all year round from 8:00 to 21:00 and is maintained on a voluntary basis by Naturschutzring Dümmer.
