Directions
The starting point is the collegiate town of Levern with its historic collegiate church, the Heimathaus and other half-timbered houses. Passing the Mittelland Canal, the route heads towards the saltwater spa town of Bad Essen in Lower Saxony. On your way to Lake Dümmer, you pass the village of Bohmte and the Hunteburg Roman bridge. Once you reach Lake Dümmer, your route takes you back to Stemwede. On the way, you pass through the Stemwede village of Haldem before reaching your destination, the monastery town of Levern. Of course, you can also end the route at Dümmer See or vice versa.

Getting There
By car: via the highways A1 (Bremen-Münster), A2 (Hannover-Ruhrgebiet), A30 (Bad Oeynhausen-Osnabrück) or federal highways B51 (Diepholz-Bohmte), B65 (Minden-Bohmte), B239 (Herford-Rahden). By train: via the nearest train stations Bohmte, Lemförde, Rahden, Pr. Oldendorf-Holzhausen and Lübbecke.
