Ströher Moorbahn - "SPURWECHSEL"

Erleben Sie die Schönheit und Ursprünglichkeit des Neustädter Moores per Moorbahn.

Let's start with the historic Moorbahn at the Moorbahn station Ströhen/Han. in the municipality of Wagenfeld. In the past, this means of transport carried the peat from the Ströher Moor to the station. A varied route through woods and meadows, heath and moor awaits you.
After about 3.5 km and a good half-hour's ride, you reach the terminus at Moorpadd near the Teerling shepherd's farm.
From here you go directly onto the Moorpadd, the special moor experience trail in the Neustädter Moor nature reserve with a moor slush pit and wobble bridge. From a lookout tower you have a magnificent panoramic view.
You can also explore one of the circular hiking trails. With a bit of luck, you will meet a shepherd with a herd of Diepholzer Moorschnucken, an old native breed of domestic animal.
Back from the tour, you can fortify yourself at the "Spurwechsel" station in the "Lokschuppen" restaurant (with a large outdoor terrace and children's playground).
By the way, you can also travel by trolley to the station and then "change lanes" to the Moor Railway.
